That’s because it’s built from magnesium which keeps the STI invisible to radar detector detectors. The Bel STi Driver features a Multiple Threat Display, which will let you know if multiple radar signals are detected at once, and their relative signal strength. The AutoScan feature of the STi Driver eliminates the need to shift between city and highway modes, and virtually eliminates false alarms. This model also supports the detection of "POP" mode radar.

First of all, let me state for the record that regardless of how my statements may appear, I really stick-by my final decision in purchasing this Bel STI unit. In fact, I rated it 5 stars. With everyone else gushing at other sites about how great the STI is, I never really saw a review try to pick.

I purchased the Beltronics STI Driver for $449.95 from an authorized online retailer about 13 months ago, it's now 17 March 08. I have absolutely babied this device, always taking it out of the windshield - out of the sun when parking. It's always kept dry. Never dropped. Never banged. So basically.

I used to have the Rdx-55 and that baby gave alot of falsies on laser alert. Seems cellphone towers would set it off like crazy. Anyway I decided to try this unit with the 30day exchange and the trade in on my Rdx-55. Well after having this unit for seven months I can honestly say I'm quite pleased
